This is part 1 of the 5 easy steps needed to gain muscular size and strength.

This is one topic that I have a hard time with.  Ever since I was 25 years old I have not gotten enough sleep.  I used to work 4 jobs at one time sleeping on avg 2-4 hours per night.  While I do not recommend this for anyone I can tell you that it has given me a greater appreciation for sleep.  Sleep is the body’s need to rejuvenate and refresh itself.  Sleep helps to heal and get the body back to the right state of mind.  Also if you are looking to grow your muscles then this is as important as hitting the gym.  I remember seeing guys go to the gym for 3-4 hours at a time and not get bigger or stronger.  Since I knew most of these guys, I knew most of them would be out partying most of the night and not getting adequate sleep so in return they were not getting bigger.  Bottom line, your body needs sleep and it needs a good quality amount.

Also I recommend power naps to help get the body growing.  5-20 minutes naps throughout the day can make a huge difference also in your muscular growth.  I have mastered the 5 min nap twice a day.  It has helped greatly with my recovery and also with my mental state.
